                       Dr. Khanka is Professor (Human Resource Management) at the NIFM.  He has been working as Professor since October 1994.  Prior to joining the NIFM, he has served as Lecturer in Kumaun University, Nainital; as Reader in the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi; as Professor in Assam University (A Central University), Silchar; and as Professor in Tezpur University (A Central University), Tezpur.

              He has also discharged the responsibilities as the Head of the Department and the Dean of the School for nearly 13 years in Assam University and Tezpur University.  He has so far published 13 books (5 Research Books and 8 Text Books), over four dozen research papers in the reputed research journals, and completed 5 research projects financially supported by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

             He has been a member in the expert panel of the UGC. He has also served as the Visiting Professor in the Bishkek International School of Management and Business, Bishkek, Kyrghyzstan and the Department of Management, National University of Mongolia, Utaan Bataar, Mongolia.

Professor Khanka is the recipient of:

        1.    Shiksha Rattan Puruskar  by H.E. General J.J. Singh, PSVM, AVSM, VSM (Retd.), Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, New Delhi, on 26th May, 2011.

        2.    Award for Best Teacher in Human Resources Management in the 19th Dewang Mehta Business School Award at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, on 26th November 2011.
